Morrisons is helping customers to save some money on petrol and diesel prices with a new offer that is now available at all fuel pumps.
The supermarket giant has confirmed that, from today, it will be offering drivers 5p off every litre of petrol when they next spend £40 in stores. All customers who spend £40 or more in their local Morrisons will receive a coupon for the fuel cut between now and Sunday, October 9.
The required minimum spend will exclude purchases on certain items, including Fuel, Tobacco, Lottery products, Morrisons Café, Gift Vouchers & Cards, Infant/Formula Milk, Cash Back, Dry Cleaning, Fireworks, Online Games and Instant Tickets, Photo Printing, Saver Stamps, Postage Stamps, ‘Top-Up’ Mobile Phone Cards, Delivery Charges/Pass, Garden Centre & Pharmacy (where applicable).
Morrisons customers who are eligible for the coupon will then be able to redeem it at all of the supermarket's 339 forecourts across the country until Sunday, October 16.
The grocer's fuel offer comes just as petrol and diesel prices have been slowly starting to fall following months of record-highs of around 191.53p.
Despite falling in recent months, motoring group The RAC believes that UK drivers are still being treated unfairly with higher prices when filling up their car.
Rachel Eyre, Chief Customer & Marketing Officer at Morrisons, said: "Fuel prices are one of the biggest expenses people across the UK are facing as the cost of living increases.
We want to help our customers save money wherever we can and hope this offer can help make budgets go a little further.”
The 5p fuel offer is the latest incentive to be offered by the supermarket in response to the cost of living crisis, after they recently reduced their prices across 150 essential products.
Morrisons said that their recent price cuts will cover nearly 6% of their total volume sales and offer customers an average saving of 14%.
