These agreements relate to the sectors of agriculture, animal production and health, fisheries and aquaculture, environmental protection and sustainable development, tourism, standardization and improvement of quality in the industrial sector, health, vocational training, regional planning, town planning and housing, as well as investment and enterprises.

Akhannouch said the commission’s meeting was a "success in all respects.”

He expressed a desire for joint cooperation being strengthened.

When opening the meeting, Akhannouch stressed that the 8th high joint Moroccan-Mauritanian commission is "a new milestone in the distinguished process of our bilateral relations", welcoming the positive dynamics that these relations are experiencing and the constant wish to strengthen and develop them in the interests of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples.

Akhannouch noted that this meeting is "an opportunity to review and assess our cooperation in various areas, including political, economic, cultural and social fields" and is also an opportunity to conduct, together, a reflection on the means to establish an effective partnership in order to take advantage of the economic potential of both countries.

For his part, Ould Bilal stressed that Morocco and Mauritania are committed to raising their bilateral relations and expanding their prospects to achieve the aspirations of the two friendly peoples to prosperity and comprehensive development.

He added that "the bonds of brotherhood uniting our two countries and our two brotherly peoples are solid with deep spiritual foundations and long processes of solidarity and bilateral cooperation in all fields."
