More than £100k has now been raised for the family of Brianna Ghey.
The 16-year-old was stabbed to death in Culcheth Linear Park, Warrington, on Saturday, February 11, with passersby calling the police at around 3.13pm. There has been an outpouring of grief about Brianna's death. She was well-known for her popular TikTok account.
Brianna, who was transgender, was also remembered for helping other young people with issues relating to their gender identity. Shortly after the death, a GoFundMe was set up for her heartbroken family, with £101k being raised in less than a week.
The GoFundMe said: "We would like to help the Ghey family who has had their beautiful daughter cruelly taken from them in the most shocking and heartbreaking way.

"Brianna was an outgoing, confident girl. She brought a lot of laughter to those who knew her. She was looking forward to taking her exams this year and beginning her journey into the adult world.
"We have set up this page to help the family at this truly devastating time. We need your support to help them with funeral costs (we want to make this pink and colourful to match her personality) and ask if you can spare anything no matter how small to try to relieve their stress and allow them to grieve their beautiful daughter.
"Thank you for your support."
Tributes poured in as people donated money to the family. Nikki Fenton said: "As a trans woman living in greater Manchester this is utterly heartbreaking. I really don't have words to describe the sorrow and pain I feel. You will never be forgotten Brianna Rest In power. Nikki x"
Sophia Jameson wrote: "A beautiful soul senselessly taken. As a part of the queer community, we are all devastated beyond words, and will not let you be forgotten, or let this be unheard. All the love to friends & family. May you rest in power Brianna."
Two 15-year-olds, a boy from Leigh and girl from Warrington, have been charged with Brianna's murder and have appeared in court. The teenagers appeared via two separate video links in court today, February 16.
Both were accompanied by an adult as they spoke only to confirm their names and dates of birth at the short hearing. A trial date for July 10, with an estimated length of three weeks, was set by Judge David Aubrey KC.
He remanded both teenagers - who cannot be named for legal reasons - into youth detention ahead of a plea and trial preparation hearing on May 2.
