More holidaymakers than ever are looking to escape the UK on group getaways this summer as they continue to make up for lost time with friends and family, according to new analysis by online travel agent loveholidays.
loveholidays has seen group bookings increase by 77% this year compared to 2022, with demand more than doubling when compared to pre-pandemic levels (+114%).
Group holidays are proving particularly popular among younger customers, with bookings made by 18 to 25 year olds accounting for 40% of all group bookings. Meanwhile, those aged 45 and over account for 29% of group bookings.
