Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips has been named in England’s starting XI for tonight’s clash with Hungary at Molineux. The Three Lions will conclude their June international period hoping to secure their first win in this season’s Nations League, having lost against tonight’s opponents just 10 days ago, before draws with Germany and Italy.
Phillips has managed just 50 minutes of football during this run of international matches, starting just once in the 1-1 draw with Germany, when he limped off after just 14 minutes. The 26-year-old made substitute appearances in both of the other two fixtures, but will be hoping for a more substantial amount of action this evening.
Phillips will be jetting off for a much-needed break following tonight’s match with Hungary, but all focus will be on securing all three points, to sign off the season with a win. Here is how fans have been reacting to his inclusion in the starting XI.
