Monthly deaths in Pune Metropolitan Region (7), Maharashtra (77) lowest in 2 years

Pune Pune Metropolitan Region Mumbai

PUNE: Covid deaths in the Pune Metropolitan Region (PMR) fell to 7 in March, while the state's toll dropped to 77, the lowest after March 2020. The fatalities in Mumbai city fell to just 4 in March.

This March, the state saw 9,882 cases after a drastic decline from the third wave peak in January, when the state recorded 10.38 lakh new infections.
