Monaco parcel bomb suspect is ‘woman in Germany’ – what we know

  • An international arrest warrant has been issued for a woman identified as the main suspect behind a parcel bomb attack in Monaco that injured Ukrainian tycoon Vadym Iermolaiev and two others.
  • Monaco's public prosecutor confirmed the suspect's identification, stating that an Interpol Red Notice would be issued for her following the attack earlier this week.
  • The suspect, described as a Ukrainian woman in her thirties registered as living in Germany, was captured on CCTV fleeing the scene towards the neighbouring French town of Beausoleil.
  • The bomb, placed in the lobby of a luxury building, exploded as Mr Iermolaiev tried to leave; he is reportedly out of danger, but a woman remains in critical condition with both legs amputated.
  • Mr Iermolaiev, a 58-year-old Cypriot national and real estate developer, is a controversial figure who was sanctioned by Ukraine for alleged collaboration with Russia, accusations he has fiercely denied.
