Manchester Airport holidaymakers were furious after being told by police their TUI trip had been cancelled.
Hundreds of people were told by the officers they would not be jetting off to Kos in Greece for their half-term break as planned. The travellers had already had a nightmare eight-hour wait at the airport, including a gruelling four-hour wait to get through check-in and security, followed by a four-hour flight delay "waiting for a pilot".
They were told the trip was cancelled completely by police officers as they waited at the boarding gate. Some had already been sent text messages from TUI to say the holiday had been cancelled while already in the airport, reports Manchester Evening News.
