A skilled pilot became the first person to land a plane on top of an iconic seven star hotel in Dubai. Luke Czepiela showed amazing levels of control of an aircraft when he just about landed the plane on the tiny helipad on the Burj Al Arab Jumeriah.

For the stunt that was filmed by energy drinks company Red Bull, Czepiela practiced 650 times before sticking the landing on the 56 storey building. The video of the daring attempt was posted on Red Bull's Youtube channel and now has a massive 907K views and has also been shared widely online.

The helipad is measured at 27 meters in diameter and according to Redbull, Czepiela used 20.76 meters of it to make his stop. The Polish pilot worked with a team of world class engineers from aircraft manufacturers ClubCrafters who made a number of modifications to the aeroplane.

“During the training and preparation, I developed full confidence in the aircraft and its unique capabilities that enabled me to successfully accomplish this mission.”
