Molly Marsh's return to Love Island has been met by a heated backlash from many viewers, who argue that she has an 'unfair' advantage, having spent time in the outside world and got to find out public opinion on her co-stars in the villa.
Having seen her romance with Zach Noble grow stronger every day, having been 'stolen' by him right at the start of her series, Molly was sent crashing back to earth with a bump at the end of last week, when series two star Kady McDermott came back to do some stealing of her own. And, having chosen Zach, her decision sent Molly packing with immediate effect.
A lot of Love Island viewers predicted that that wouldn't be the last we saw of Molly and their instincts proved to be correct, as on Friday night, after plenty of speculation, she briefly appeared on screen as one of the six new girls going into the main villa, following Kady and her co-stars' exit to Casa Amor.

As soon as they realised it was Molly, fans rushed to Twitter to air their opinion on her coming back and there were plenty of negative comments about producers favouring Molly and her being able to go back on the show, despite having a week to discover viewers' feelings on her and other Islanders, as well as being interviewed by Love Island host Maya Jama on spin-off programme Aftersun.
Against having her back, one critic blasted: "It is sooooo unfair bringing Molly back after being on podcasts, catching up with family, seeing what the community thinks, and from the way this looks, it looks like she's gonna be over Zach and throwing herself at Scott knowing that he's a fan favorite." Taking exactly the same stance, a second viewer tweeted: "letting Molly go home, get an idea of what’s going on on the outside, public perception and to see her family and regroup is not a plot twist it’s just plain unfair."
