Molly-Mae Hague facing mental struggles with seeing her body change amid pregnancy journey

Molly-Mae Hague has admitted she has been struggling mentally during her pregnancy as she watches her body change.

The influencer, 23, announced last week her and Love Island beau Tommy Fury, also 23, are expecting their first child together, but confessed it's paid a toll on her mental health.

The Pretty Little Thing creative director candidly spoke about how her growing belly has affected her mentally on her YouTube channel.

She admitted that while she's never been "that girl who is excited to put on a bikini" she's felt more self conscious due to her weight gain.

And she said private messages she was sent prior to her announcement didn't help the matter either, despite the comments being intended to praise her.

The blonde beauty, who filmed the clip prior to her announcement, confirmed it wasn't the need to hide her bump which was affecting her, but more so the way her body was adapting to the process of growing a child.

"I knew that was going to be the one thing that I struggle with the most out of this whole entire journey," she said.

"Like, even if I was to be sick or to be poorly, or to have issues, I just knew that over everything, mentally a struggle for me would be like, well, it would be a mental struggle but it's a physical thing that's happening that I mentally struggle with - seeing the changes to my body."

She continued: "I've always struggled with my body a bit. I've always been quite self conscious about my body. I've never been that girl who is excited to put on a bikini for a holiday. I don't like summer and spring because I don't like wearing revealing clothes."

Molly-Mae then reiterated that while she knows it's "absolutely fine" for your body to change during pregnancy, "it was always going to be hard for me".

Elsewhere in the upload, she jokingly revealed the news of her weight gain during her pregnancy actually shocked her midwife.

She also admitted she knew she had been lucky to date with the lack of morning sickness she had dealt with, but revealed if she ever did feel queasy she would eat.

"I've already told my midwife how much weight I had put on already and she was like 'that's not normal'." she joked.

"But the hunger has definitely been my main symptom."
