Israel midfielder Mohammad Abu Fani is reportedly pushing for an exit from Maccabi Haifa this summer amid interest from Celtic.
The Premiership champions have watched the 24-year-old while on international duty during the recent Nations League fixtures.
Maccabi Haifa are demanding £800,000 to allow the player to leave this summer with three years remaining on his deal.
However, Fani and his representatives appear to have made their position clear on a move.
Israeli outlet ONE state that talks have taken place behind the scenes between Haifa chiefs and Dudu Dahan’s ScoutPush agency over an exit.
It is noted that the agent is keen to see his client move to a European league this summer with Celtic named as an interested party.
Following the talks, it's said the club will not stand in the players way if the right offer comes during the window.
Deal-broker Dahan has helped engineer moves to Celtic for the likes of Efe Ambrose, Nir Bitton, Beram Kayal and most recently Liel Abada.
But Belgian clubs Standard Liege and Royal Antwerp have all run the rule over Abu Fani so the path to Parkhead could take a twist.
