Mohamed Salah has the opportunity to break yet another record while at Liverpool.
The Reds forward has already written himself well into Anfield folklore with his performances and impact since his arrival in 2017. In his 254 appearances for Liverpool, he has scored 156 goals which put him ninth in the club’s all-time top scorers list.
Thursday saw Liverpool’s fixtures for the upcoming Premier League season be confirmed, with numerous intriguing prospects. One of them sees the Reds travel to face newly-promoted Fulham on the opening day of the campaign.

Saturday, August 6 will see Liverpool go to Craven Cottage with several subplots. One of them will be Fabio Carvalho potentially facing his former club, while another could be Harry Wilson taking on the Reds for the first time since his permanent exit last summer.
For Salah, he will have the opportunity to break a Premier League record in the clash against Fulham. It concerns the amount of goals he has scored on the opening day of the campaign.
At the moment, the Egyptian has seven goals to his name on the opening day of the league season. That is level with Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.
Salah’s tally puts him one behind Alan Shearer, Frank Lampard and Wayne Rooney in the list, who all have eight. Should Salah score two or more against Fulham, and better Vardy’s performance in front of goal, he will break the record.
Last season Salah broke another Premier League record with his goal in the 3-0 win over Norwich City. He became the first player to score in five consecutive opening day fixtures in the top flight.
