Mohamed Salah is not heading for the Anfield exit anytime soon despite speculation linking the Liverpool legend with a transfer to Saudi Arabia.
The Reds forward has made clear to those running the show at Anfield he has a desire to continue and that feeling is reciprocated by the key figures at the club. There had been suggestions that Liverpool's lack of Champions League football next term could turn Salah's head, but it has since been made clear that is not the case.
Jurgen Klopp's men fell well short of expectations last season, ending the campaign a staggering 22 points behind champions Manchester City and only qualifying for the Europa League. Salah was a rare shining light, with the Egypt international still managing to net 30 goals and 16 assists in 51 appearances across all competitions.
Liverpool's poor showing last time out led to widespread calls for Klopp to oversee a rebuild and some felt that would mean parting ways with Salah in place of a younger alternative.
His attacking colleagues Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino have both since departed, with the former leaving for the bright lighs of Bayern Munich this time last year. Salah, however, is staying put and is willing to turn down the wealth of Saudi Arabia and Real Madrid to do so.
While Salah is undoubtedly disappointed at the way last season went for Liverpool, he remains confident that he can help turn things around alongside the likes of Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez.

With that being said, he is under no illusions that the Liverpool squad in their current form could muster any sort of title charge, with even Champions League qualification potentially a step too far.
The Reds are in dire need of reinforcements and so far have only landed the signature of ex-Brighton ace Alexis Mac Allister.
The Argentina international is a World Cup winner and will certainly help raise the technical ceiling at Anfield, but he alone is not enough to restore Liverpool to the kind of glory Salah and the Anfield faithful demand.
Liverpool have bid farewell to more than just Firmino this summer, with James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita also calling time on their Anfield stays following the expiration of their respective contracts.
A new midfielder is therefore still on the to-do list before the window closes, while it has been suggested Klopp is also on the prowl for another central defender to ease the burden on Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate.
The form of both Joe Gomez and Joel Matip was clearly a cause for concern for Klopp last term.
