Model activist Padma Lakshmi took to social media a post on endometriosis and how it is a family issue. "Endometriosis afflicts 1 in 10 reproductive-age individuals (between the ages 12-52). That's an estimated 200 million people with uteruses suffering worldwide! Endometriosis is more than just a debilitating disease. It impacts a person’s life in so many ways from their career and romantic relationships to their loved ones and their communities. It is a family issue," reads her Facebook post.
March is observed as endometriosis awareness month.
