Mobility vehicle manufacturer moves in at Dundee innovation park

Electric mobility vehicle group OTG has become the latest company to move into Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc (MSIP) near Dundee.

OTG is an Italian partnership of companies including sustainable mobility firm Alba Mobility, automotive design centre Camal Studio, engineering service company Man Evotech, transport power business Dell’Orto, automotive sustainability specialists Mazzanti Lab and University of Salerno solar vehicle spin-out eProinn.

It will initially manufacture a range of electric golf carts at its space at MSIP, with plans to expand the range into other sustainable mobility options in the future, based upon market demand.

Around 10 new jobs will be initially created, with future growth plans over the coming years.

OTG is the 15th company to locate at MSIP - bringing the total number of jobs now based there to 130 - and it is the latest tenant to move into the recently completed Fulhame Building, joining solar thermal firm SolarisKit and hydrogen technology business Hydrogen Green Power.

Just last week, AMTE Power also selected MSIP as the preferred location for its first battery 'megafactory' to be based.

Greig Coull, chief executive at MSIP, said: “OTG joins a collective of companies working at the forefront of sustainable mobility and decarbonisation.

“I’m really pleased they have chosen to locate at MSIP and recognise that we are a location of choice for innovative companies looking to transition the transport sector to net zero.”

Giorgio Cozzolino, director at OTG, added: “As the founder, I intend on bringing the best of Italian design and technology to Scotland.

“Our projects and business cover a wide range of sectors from, the manufacturing of golf and street carts, as well as consumers goods, what they all have in common is an eye for design and style, technological advancement and minimising any environmental impact.”

MSIP is a joint venture between Michelin, Dundee City Council and Scottish Enterprise.
