A 95-year-old man who was one of two people injured in an intersection crash in north Canberra has died in hospital, police said.
He was riding a blue mobility scooter about 11.10am on Sunday, September 13, when it crashed with a van at the intersection of Ginninderra Drive and Haydon Drive in Bruce.
The man and a 47-year-old woman, driver of the white Toyota Alphard van, were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
An ACT Policing spokeswoman said the man's condition deteriorated and he succumbed to his injuries in hospital on Sunday, September 20.
The 95-year-old's death will be counted as the 12th road fatality on ACT roads this year, the police spokeswoman said.
She said police would submit a report on the circumstances surrounding the incident to the coroner.
The man's death comes weeks after two triathletes, 32-year-old Bridie Lee and 39-year-old Ryan Riethmuller, were killed while cycling in a group along Gungahlin Drive.
