Under-threat gang boss Mr Flashy and his close associate were a no-show in court yesterday due to “genuine fears” for their safety.
The Finglas mobster, 29, and his 20-year-old pal were charged at a Dublin court in their absence. Mr Flashy’s case was the first to come before the court and his legal representative said his client was not present because there “are genuine fears for his safety”.
His solicitor handed in a statement of means for Mr Flashy and legal aid was granted for him, as it was for the associate who he also confirmed faces the same safety fears. The court heard there was CCTV of the incident and it was to be furnished to the defence.
