The Los Angeles Lakers have been very short-handed lately. LeBron James has been out with a right foot tendon injury, and D’Angelo Russell has missed five straight games with a sprained ankle.
The team simply cannot afford to suffer any more injuries to rotation players.
Yet, that is exactly what happened in its victory over the Golden State Warriors on Sunday.
Backup center Mo Bamba sustained a sprained ankle that limited him to just two minutes in that contest. As a result, he will miss Tuesday night’s contest against the Memphis Grizzlies.
This will force head coach Darvin Ham to go small whenever Anthony Davis is resting, which will compromise the Lakers defensively.
D’Angelo Russell is upgraded to questionable for tomorrow’s game vs. Memphis. Mo Bamba is out.

On a brighter note, Russell has been upgraded to questionable for Tuesday’s game, which means there is a real chance he will suit up and be available.
