Yan Diomande has been the most coveted winger in world football this summer, with Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool both attempting to sign the 19-year-old winger.

Ultimately, though, it was Real Madrid who won the race, paying a club-record €125 million plus €15 million in bonuses and signing him to a contract through 2033. However, it was just two years ago that hardly any team was willing to take a chance on him. Back then, Diomande was just an anonymous teenager looking to realize his dream of becoming a professional footballer.
