SEATTLE - Wearing the famous pinstripes can put a lot of pressure on a player, but Juan Soto has embraced life as a New York Yankee like no other. The Dominican continued with his terrific season with another home run, his 15th of the season, in the Yankees' 4-3 loss to the Los Angeles Angels.

Despite back-to-back losses for the Yankees, Soto remains as one of the only constant threats game by game in the American League. The Dominican has had a successful May, batting for .296/.369/.582 with seven homers and 29 hits.

Soto added another multi-hit game against the Angels, finishing 2-for-5 on the night plus a pair of RBI. It was his 19th multi-hit game of the season and the fifth such game in his last 10 outings. On top of that, the outfielder leads the American League in total hits (67) and on-base percentage (.408).

Juan Soto hits a 424-foot homer at 113.1 mph

Soto's 15th home run of the season, a solo hit to right field, gave the Yankees an early lead at the top of the first inning. The no-doubter traveled a total of 424 feet at an exit velocity of 113.1 mph. According to Statcast, it was the hardest hit in all of MLB on May 28.

With every hit, the Dominican establishes himself as a major priority for the Yankees to sign once the 25-year-old hits free agency at the end of the season.

Soto, who is making $31 million in his final year of arbitration, is expected to land a contract in excess of $500 million. "For me right here, I'm focusing on playing baseball. My thing is try to help the team to win as much games as we can and try to focus on winning a championship," Soto said on May 16 when asked about his contractual situation with the Yankees.
