Mississippi police investigating a string of shootings say a 911 dispatcher may have been helping the criminals they were chasing

Mississippi native Taylor Williams, a 20-year-old dispatcher for the Jackson Police Department, was arrested and charged after an internal investigation allegedly found that she used her position to assist active criminal suspects.

According to Guessing Headlights, Jackson Police Department Chief RaShall Brackney revealed the allegations during a press conference. The case has sent shockwaves through the Mississippi capital, with the department requesting an independent state investigation into its own emergency operations center. Williams faces charges of accessory after the fact and hindering prosecution.
