Missing rugby and X Factor star Levi Davis has been spotted looking “lost and confused” in the homeless area of Barcelona, it has been claimed.
The 24-year-old who was last heard from over two weeks ago, is said to have been walking around Plaça Sant Agust, Barcelona, yesterday morning (November 15) according to an alleged eye-witness in Spain.
Speaking to the Mirror, Levi’s agent and close friend Tom Varndell said that he received the reports of potential sightings of the rugby player, nine minutes walk from where he was last seen on October 29 at the Old Irish Pub in La Rambla.
Following social media appeals, a person who asked to remain anonymous reached out to him last night (November 14), and said that they had been told that Levi had been seen looking disoriented in the tourist area of the city.
Tom said: “They said, ‘I shouldn't have told you anything in the first place, but I saw the tweets and felt bad.’
“They said he was seen at Placa Sant Agusti this morning (Monday, November 14), which is usually transited by homeless people.”
Tom added that the person who relayed the information said that Levi looked “lost and confused” and that the details had been passed onto West Midlands Police as well as the Spanish force.
He said: “He seemed lost and confused apparently. If it is Levi, God knows what state he’s in right now.
“There's nothing concrete and that's been passed on to the police to do some investigations in that area, but other than that, there hasn't been anything. It’s so frustrating.
“The person who [reached out] is Spanish which is a positive because obviously they're based out there.
“It's just about trying to find out if there's any truth in it, any substance in it, and then go from there really.
“I don't know if Levi hasn't got any access to phone or internet or whatever.”
Police in the Catalan city said Levi’s mobile phone signal was last picked up near to Barcelona's Sants mainline train station overnight on October 29.
However, the phone has not been used since and he has not taken any money out of his bank accounts, Tom confirmed.
In footage obtained by the Mirror, Levi was last seen leaving the Old Irish Pub in La Rambla on October 29.
The clip showed Levi carrying a small black rucksack, while wearing a white short-sleeved T-shirt, black trousers and black and white trainers.
He had abruptly left his friend Richard Squire in Ibiza for Barcelona that day without clothes or cash that day.
Levi's pal has since launched a GoFundMe saying that the X Factor star had 'struggled with his mental health' and that they were growing concerned for him.
On the site, it read "As many of you will have seen in the press and on social media, Levi Davis is currently missing, last seen in Barcelona.
"He's struggled with his mental health for many years and we, his friends and family, are extremely concerned for him.
"Thanks to so many people sharing his image and poster, we've had some possible sightings and need to get his friends and family on the ground in Spain to walk the streets looking for him and follow up on any leads."
But 17 days later, the search to find Levi continues as each potential sighting could be key in helping locate him.
Tom said: “The concerning thing is, I don't know if this is even Levi because there are a lot of people that look like Levi.
“And if it's just the back of someone's head or you know from a distance. I don't know.
“We just need to follow up, it’s nothing concrete but it's something.”
Levi’s mother, Julie Davis flew to Spain in a bid to find her son but she has now returned to the UK.
However, Tom says that they have contacts in Spain who are helping to find the rugby player.
He said: “There are some people that are based out there in Spain already, so they're a bit closer to it..
“It's just trying to try and find him and then they give the news to his mum as and when.”
