Boots shoppers have been praising the fake tan worn by Ryan Gosling in the new Barbie movie.
According to the film’s tanning artist Kimberley Nkosi, Ryan wears Isle of Paradise Self-Tanning Water throughout. The tan, priced at £15.95, features colour correcting actives and a green base for “a natural, golden glow with no streaks, no smells or orange tones”.
The Self-Tanning Water comes in three options: light, medium and dark, meaning you can choose depending on your skin tone and desired result. The tan develops over four to six hours, users are just advised not to get the tan wet while it sets.

The product has received more than 50 five star reviews on the Boots website. One shopper said: “Bought this on a whim when it was reduced and so pleased I did. My legs never tan but they look amazing right now and not too fake either. So easy to use with the tanning mitt which I also bought.”
A second wrote: “Amazing, no streaks. I have used this for years and absolutely love it! Saw some negative reviews and am baffled as to why! I use it on my face as well as body and if you moisturise well (as it says) and use a mitt there are no issues.
“Had so many compliments about how it’s super natural. I will never use anything else!”
Another added: “Love it! I bought this hoping it was a miracle in a bottle and it didn’t disappoint! It’s easy to spray on at all angles, I would recommend using a mitt to massage it in and moisturise between applications to keep the colour going. It doesn’t smell horrible and leaves me glowy and moisturised.”
