A popular steakhouse has announced it is to open its latest branch in the North East later this year.
Miller & Carter Tynemouth is set to welcome customers on Friday, September 2, in the former Harvester pub on Preston North Road, in North Shields. A full refurbishment of the venue has been under way since Monday, June 27.
The restaurant seats 150 people with a bar area to enjoy a cocktail, glass of quality wine or premium beer with an additional external terraced dining area.

The new Miller & Carter will also create 60 new jobs for the local area, with recruitment ongoing this week.
Awarded with the 'The Masters of Steak' award from the Craft Guild of Chefs, Miller & Carter say beef is their 'labour of love'. Guests to the new Miller & Carter Tynemouth can enjoy prime 30-day aged British & Irish steaks.
There are 14 steak cuts to choose from, including a 28oz Côte de Boeuf sharing steak, 20oz sirloin on the bone, and award-winning 8oz fillet.
There are plenty of other indulgent dining options for guests to enjoy. Diners can start their visit with a selection of starters including box-baked camembert to share or sautéed garlic king prawns.
They can also enjoy a main from Miller & Carter's award-winning steak experience or try their 30 Day Aged Prime Steak Burgers. Guests can complement their meal with an array of expertly mixed cocktails or decadent desserts, including a Summer Fruits Meringue Dome.
