Mikey Johnston's chances of signing on loan for Standard Liege from Celtic could be narrowing as Ronny Deila eyes up other wide options.
The academy product has had first-team minutes limited in the last couple of seasons due to injury and Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou has confirmed they are looking at loan options for him. Standard Liege, managed by former Celtic manager Deila, are one interested party but they are not prepared to wait forever for Johnston.
Voetbal report that Nottingham Forest's Alex Mighten is now on their 'wish list' alongside Johnston as his chances of regular Premier League football look limited, although he did come off the bench in Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United. Mighten made 27 appearances last season for Steve Cooper's men as they achieved promotion but just six of those outings came as a starter. Deila could turn to him as a transfer wait in Glasgow continues to rumble.

Johnston in the meantime will fight with Daizen Maeda, Jota, Liel Abada and James Forrest for a spot on the Celtic flanks.
