Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has dropped a huge transfer hint during the Gunners' pre-season tour of the USA.
Arteta has seen the arrival of four new signings join his squad ahead of the 2022/23 season so far, with technical director Edu putting in a lot of work to add quality players in key positions that needed strengthening. Marquinhos, Matt Turner, Fabio Vieira and Gabriel Jesus have all made the move to the Emirates, with the latter already showing his talent in attack and impressing the fans.
Oleksandr Zinchenko looks set to become the Gunners' fifth summer signing, following the same path as Jesus from Manchester City to reunite with former coach Arteta in north London. Zinchenko will offer competition for both Kieran Tierney and Granit Xhaka due to his versatility and ability to play at left-back and central midfield.

Arteta spoke to reporters, via Evening Standard, after Arsenal's training session on Monday and admitted the club are looking at different options in the transfer market. The Spaniard said: “There is no update with anybody and when there are updates we will let you know.
“We’re looking at different options in different positions and we’ll give you an update when we have it.” Arteta added: “We’ve been trying to [sign players earlier] and we have two recruitments already.
Jesus and Vieira have accounted for two early deals in the summer market in which the Gunners moved quickly to beat rivals to each signing. The Gunners' boss has also hinted that the club will continue to push for deals until the transfer deadline.
“Until the end of the market we will keep trying to improve the squad and there are so many parties involved and sometimes things are not as quick as you want.”
It's not just incoming signings that Arsenal are focusing on, with a number of outgoings needing to get done so that the squad meets the 'Homegrown quota'. Bernd Leno looks set to leave the club and is being linked with a £12m move to Premier League rivals Fulham, whilst Nuno Tavares is also being linked with a move away to French side Marseille.
