The work done to overhaul the Arsenal squad since the arrival of Mikel Arteta has been quite something when compared to what occurred in the previous decade before his arrival. The club made consistent errors in judgement with both contracts and signings.

This is clear with the signing of Fabio Vieira from Porto. The 22-year-old is set to sign for the club after Porto confirmed the deal with Arsenal due to pay around £34million to get the talented midfielder to north London.
