Being that the Tennessee Titans were the highest-remaining seed in the AFC to lose in the divisional round this past weekend, the team’s coaching staff will be in charge of the conference’s 2022 Pro Bowl team.
Head coach Mike Vrabel, who is one of the front-runners for NFL Coach of the Year, will lead the AFC squad, along with his staff. The Green Bay Packers’ coaching staff will run things in the NFC.
The two Pro Bowl coaching staffs do have a connection, as Packers head coach Matt LaFleur was once Vrabel’s offensive coordinator in 2018.
Safety Kevin Byard was the only Titans players to get a nod as a Pro Bowler after receiving the most votes at his position. This is his second appearance, and he also notched his second First-Team All-Pro selection this year.
There are seven other Titans who made it as reserves, including defensive linemen Jeffery Simmons and Denico Autry, outside linebackers Harold Landry and Ola Adeniyi (special teams), long snapper Morgan Cox, left tackle Taylor Lewan, and left guard Rodger Saffold.
One or more of those players could still take part in the game depending on who among those originally voted in drop out.
The 2022 Pro Bowl will take place the week before Super Bowl LVI on Feb. 6 in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium, with kickoff set for 3 p.m. ET. The contest will be broadcast on ESPN.
