Fresh off a miraculous comeback win over the Dolphins on Monday Night Football, Titans coach Mike Vrabel was discussing rookie quarterback Will Levis’s athleticism and propensity to fight through contact.
All signs point toward Levis being Tennessee’s signal-caller of the future, and naturally, the last thing Vrabel wants to see is his franchise player putting himself in harm’s way. When addressing how to get Levis to start sliding more, Vrabel brainstormed a more creative approach he might take to get his point across. NSFW warning for the following video:
“We’re still trying to work on that. We showed him examples of quarterbacks sliding and using the rules to their advantage,” Vrabel told reporters Tuesday. “I guess we’ll have to show him examples of quarterbacks not sliding and getting the s--- knocked out of them.”

Levis racked up 15 rushing yards in Tennessee's improbably win on Monday night. He caught the attention of the NFL world when, instead of sliding, he lowered his shoulder against star cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

Fans loved the guts that Levis showed on the play, but Vrabel is clearly more interested in making sure his quarterback is a bit more careful in the open field.
