Mick McDermott is confident Glentoran can arrest the slump that has seen the East Belfast side drop to sixth in the Irish Premiership.

The Glens fell to their third successive league defeat on Boxing Day and it came at the hands of bitter rivals Linfield.

To rub salt in the wounds, the Blues' victory came courtesy of a 90th-minute winner from Eetu Vertainen, a result that helps David Healy's champions jump to second in the table following their own early-season malaise.
