Jiri Prochazka’s plan to regain the light heavyweight title was derailed Saturday when he came up short against Alex Pereira in the UFC 295 main event.
After Prochazka (29-4-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) vacated the 205-pound belt more than a year ago due to a serious shoulder injury, he finally got back in the octagon at Madison Square Garden in New York, only to fall to the power of Pereira (9-2 MMA, 6-1 UFC) in a second-round knockout defeat.
