Mel Tucker lives by the motto of “never stop recruiting” and he continues to prove it. Tucker tapped into the transfer portal to land Auburn transfer Ben Patton halfway through training camp, and it now appears that Tucker is looking to tap into the portal again this camp.
Michigan State has been in contact with defensive end Ken Talley, a transfer from Penn State. Talley was a member of Penn State’s 2022 recruiting class but transferred partway through his first camp in Happy Valley.
In the 2022 class Talley was a 4-star prospect that ranked as the No. 273 overall recruit and the No. 24 edge rusher.
Former Penn State DL Ken Talley has been busy since he entered the portal, but one school has recently begun to stand out.
TPR's @mfarrellsports: Michigan State has taken a more aggressive approach in recent days and now looks like the frontrunner.

While it is not a done deal, and there are several hurddles still to climb, Tucker is leaving no stone unturned when it comes to bettering his roster.
