Michigan State basketball heads to Ohio State in an important Big Ten matchup on Sunday, and if you’re wondering how you can watch the action live, you’ve come to the right place.
The Spartans are coming off a much-needed victory over Maryland on Tuesday evening. That win snapped a two-game losing streak, and improved the Spartans to 15-9 overall and 7-6 in conference play.
Ohio State has been reeling as of late with losses in 10 of their last 11 games — which includes defeats to Minnesota, Nebraska and most recently Northwestern on Thursday night. The Buckeyes are now 11-13 overall and 3-10 in conference play.

Three Things to Watch
Here are three things to watch out for in this matchup between Michigan State and Ohio State:
Taking advantage of wounded prey: It’s no secret at this point in the year Ohio State is ready to pack it in with their chances of reaching the NCAA Tournament essentially gone. The body language wasn’t great for the Buckeyes in Thursday’s home loss to Northwestern so it’s clear the Spartans have the opportunity to put away Ohio State quickly if they get off to a fast start. This is an opportunity Michigan State can’t let slip through their fingers.
Finishing in crunch time: During Ohio State’s recent losing stretch, they’ve actually been very competitive in each game. Only one of the losses was by double-digits and most of the games came down to the final minutes but the opponent was able to finish stronger than the Buckeyes. I anticipate Sunday’s tilt being similar and will be determined in the final five minutes.
Winning with defense and outside shooting: Michigan State will need to do a pair of things well to pick up the road win — play stifling defense and hit their shots from outside. The Spartans defense has relatively traveled well this year but the three-point shooting away from home has been rough lately — Michigan State is 13 for 52 (25%) from behind the arc in their last four road games. It’s no coincidence that Michigan State lost each of those road games as well.
Game Prediction
Prediction: MSU 67, Ohio State 63
Like with the tilt against Maryland earlier this week, I originally had the Spartans losing this game. Michigan State has struggled on the road ever since beating Wisconsin at the Kohl Center in early January and I’ve lost all confidence in this team from game-to-game. But Ohio State is in a bad place right now and there’s no excuse for the Spartans to beat the reeling Buckeyes.
