J.J. McCarthy came into the game as a question mark. The Michigan quarterback was answering all of those against Ohio State on Saturday.
Late in the third quarter. McCarthy had 3 TD passes of 45 yards or more. He also was gaining yardage on the ground as the Wolverines needed his legs because Blake Corum had been relegated to a pair of carries after the knee injury he suffered last week.
The 45-yard TD pass to Colston Loveland in the third quarter put the Wolverines ahead 24-20 in a Big Ten thriller.
