Michael Carrick said he is “honoured” to be appointed as Manchester United head coach as he pledged to raise standards at Old Trafford and fight for the fans.
Carrick will serve as a short-term replacement for Ruben Amorim, who was sacked last week following a dramatic falling out with the club’s hierarchy.
