Miami-Dade Police said officers are investigating an alleged assault and battery involving Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill.
The incident happened Sunday at 10800 Collins Ave., the address of Haulover Park, Det. Angel Rodriguez, a spokesperson for the Miami-Dade Police Department, said in an email Tuesday evening.
Rodriguez did not release additional information.
Dolphins spokespersons and Hill’s agent did not immediately return emails seeking information about the investigation after business hours Tuesday.
Based on a tip from a viewer, WPLG-Ch. 10 reported that Hill had a “disagreement” with a charter company employee at Haulover Marina and hit him. Miami-Dade Police were at the marina Monday, the station said.
Hill is entering his second season with the Dolphins after spending his first six NFL campaigns with the Kansas City Chiefs. In 2022, he set Dolphins records for receptions (119) and receiving yards (1,710) in a season, forming what is likely the league’s top wide receiver duo with Jaylen Waddle.
Hill has made the Pro Bowl in all seven of his NFL seasons and is a four-time All-Pro selection. He won a Super Bowl with the Chiefs in 2019, a championship run that was completed with the February 2020 Super Bowl victory in Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium over the San Francisco 49ers.
