Mets Announcers Were Not Happy at All With an Umpire Who Refused to Make a Call

The New York Mets completed a three-game sweep of the Arizona Diamondbacks with a 9-0 victory Thursday night in Phoenix.

Francisco Lindor led the way for New York, which has now won five straight games, with five hits, including a home run and two triples.

One of those triples ended with confusion for the Mets’ broadcast booth as third base umpire Lance Barksdale seemingly refused to let everyone know if Lindor was safe or out after a close play at the bag.

Gary Cohen was not happy at all, saying “C’mon, Lance!” after he didn’t make a safe or out motion following the play.

This was weird:

That was ridiculous. It really shouldn’t be hard for an umpire to let everyone know if a player was safe or out, especially when it looked like it could have gone either way.

C’mon, Lance!
