Police told Newcastle United and Liverpool fans planning to “invade” London for the Carabao Cup final at Wembley to enjoy a drink but “don’t cross the line” into disorder.

The Magpies are hoping to end their 56-year-old trophy drought by beating manager Arne Slot’s high-flying Liverpool side.
