Met Office statement as freezing Arctic air to replace warm temperatures

The UK is currently enjoying some stunning spring weather with highs of 17C in Nottingham recorded this week - but it may be short lived. The Met Office has predicted the warm weather will soon be gone and wintry showers may hit the country next week.

That's because colder air from the Arctic is set to bring wintry conditions to the UK. It will be a big change from Wednesday, March 23, when parts of the UK could see temperature up to 21C. This is way above the average for this time of year.
