The Met Office issued five yellow weather warnings – three for rain and two for wind – throughout Sunday as the weekend is expected to end in a washout for large parts of the country.
It comes after the weather agency issued rain and wind warnings for parts of Scotland, the east coast of Northern Ireland and west Wales for Friday.
