Met Eireann issues yellow warning as heavy rain and floods to hammer Dublin

Met Eireann has issued a weather warning for heavy rain.

The Status Yellow rain alert will be in place from 11pm tonight until 8am tomorrow. Heavy showers will also bring a chance of thunderstorms tonight.

Additionally, the national forecaster also warned of flooding due to the rain. The warning is in place for Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Tipperary, and Waterford.

Today will start with outbreaks of rain which will break up in the afternoon. It'll be dry the rest of the day with temperatures of 15 to 17 degrees.

Tonight will see heavy rain with a chance of embedded thunderstorms. Temperatures will range from 9 to 12 degrees.

Tomorrow will be a bit of a mixed bag with sunny spells and scattered showers. Temperatures will be around 14 to 17 degrees.
