Met Eireann has forecast some unusual conditions to be seen over the coming days as spells of sunshine and heavy rain spread across the country.
The forecaster recorded a record-breaking overnight November temperature on Thursday, with a low 15.5C recorded at Shannon.
Looking forward to the days ahead, a forecaster said: “The unusually mild weather will continue over the weekend but as we head through next week temperatures are forecast to drop back to more normal levels with highs of around 8c to 10c and risk of frost returning. Animation shows upper air temperature forecast.”

They added: “Weather models still uncertain on potential storm Monday/Tuesday. Latest charts do keep it out West but still a risk of some wet and windy weather Monday into Tuesday.”
Meanwhile, it will be largely dull, cloudy and misty tonight, with further outbreaks of rain with heavier falls possible in the west and southwest. Becoming drier in the east and northeast later.
Temperatures won't fall below 7 to 13 degrees, coolest in the northwest early in the night.
Winds will be mostly light to moderate southerly, fresher at times along southern and eastern coasts.
Continuing mild, dull and misty tomorrow morning with outbreaks of rain and drizzle. Becoming dry for most through the afternoon and evening with hazy sunny spells developing.
Highest temperatures of 13 to 15 degrees in moderate, occasionally fresh, southeast winds.
Generally dry and cloudy with just isolated patches of rain for much of the night. More persistent rain will develop in the west and southwest before dawn.
Lowest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees in moderate southeasterly winds, freshening on Atlantic coasts.
Outbreaks of rain will spread across the western half of the country on Sunday morning, turning heavy in places. Some sunny spells further to the east.
The rain will then extend into eastern areas in the afternoon and evening. The northeast will likely have a dry day.
Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees in light to moderate southeasterly winds.
Sunday night will start off cloudy, with outbreaks of rain in many areas. Through the night, it will gradually become clearer, with the rain becoming confined to the northeast by morning.
Lowest temperatures of 4 to 9 degrees in light southerly winds.
Rain will clear the northeast early on Monday, leaving dry and bright spells for most of the day.
Later in the evening, however, heavy outbreaks of rain will start pushing into the southwest.
Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees in light to moderate south to southeast winds. Winds may strengthen later in the afternoon.
Rain will spread northeastwards across the country overnight, turning heavy at times. Potentially becoming very windy in parts as southeasterly winds increase from fresh to strong and gusty. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees.
Current projections show rain clearing to scattered showers on Tuesday. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in light to moderate southerly winds.
Early indications are that the unsettled conditions will continue through midweek, with further spells of rain and blustery winds at times.
