A few counties are set to sizzle this weekend as meteorologists predict warm and sunny weather in the days ahead.
Counties such as Louth, Meath and Cavan are set to peak close to 20C before Monday, although this will likely give way to rain by the middle of next week.
“Some sunny intervals will develop around Saturday afternoon with highest temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees and light winds,” Met Eireann confirmed on their website.

All provinces look set to experience sunshine, though there is a small risk of scattered showers on Saturday.
The pollen count over the next few days is also set to range from moderate to high across the country as summer approaches.
Meteorologist Deirdre Lowe told RTÉ that this weekend’s forecast is warmer than average for this time of the year. She said Sunday would be the most enjoyable day weather wise.
Lowe said: "It’s going to be a really nice day, not completely dry and sunny, maybe one or two showers around and the risk of some showery rain during the evening, but it could hold off 'til after dark in the south."
The forecast for the typically warmest part of the country, the south east, does not look set to be significantly higher than anywhere else. Coasts will tend to be a little cooler than inland areas.
Unexpected warm weather has already been seen on several occasions this year, with the country enjoying several spontaneous bursts of sunshine and high temperatures in April.Get breaking news to your inbox by signing up to our newsletter.
