Met Eireann forecast pinpoints exact day temperatures will rise as return of summer nears

After a lot of unsettled weather and rain showers across Ireland recently, it looks like summer will return in just a few days, according to Met Éireann

Met Eireann has given the exact day that we can expect temperatures start to get warmer as a band of high pressure moves over the country next week.

The national forecaster said that from Tuesday, July 5, it will start to heat up, with temperatures even reaching over 20C.

The forecaster said: "Gradually becoming warmer from Tuesday as high pressure begins to dominate. It will stay generally dry through the middle of next week although there will be some showers at times. Daytime temperatures reaching the high teens or low twenties."
