Melissa Gilbert is facing an "extraordinarily difficult time" amid her husband Timothy Busfield's child sexual abuse charges.

The 61-year-old actress has thanked her supporters on social media via her lifestyle company Modern Prairie after her husband was last week released from police custody pending trial on two counts of criminal sexual contact with a minor and one count of child abuse.
