Mekhi Becton spent the summer redefining his career. Just days from potentially being named the starting right guard in Philadelphia, the former first-round pick avoided serious injury after the massive offensive lineman exited the Eagles’ Sunday practice with a lower leg injury.
Jordan Schultz reports that the front-runner for the Eagles’ right guard position should be in line to play alongside Lane Johnson in Brazil against the Green Bay Packers.

With Becton, Steen, and Lane Johnson out, Fred Johnson assumed the right tackle duties, while the versatile Brett Toth was inserted at right guard. Philadelphia will have one final week of training camp practices before a Saturday preseason finale at Lincoln Financial Field against the Minnesota Vikings.
