Meghan 'sobbed on floor' in row with Kate over Charlotte's 'baggy' bridesmaid dress

Prince Harry has revealed more details of a fallout between Meghan and Kate over Princess Charlotte's bridesmaid dress - claiming the incident left Meghan 'sobbing on the floor'.

Harry claims the incident was largely driven by Kate, who was angered at having to wait a day to hear back from Meghan about the offending garment ahead of the 2018 Royal wedding.

The Duke goes on to claim Meghan's suggestion of bringing the dress to a tailor on standby at Kensington Palace "wasn't sufficient" and Kate insisted "all the dresses need to be remade".

Ahead of the big day, Harry said Meghan was juggling issues with Charlotte's dress with the chaos surrounding her father, Thomas Markle - and eventually ended up "sobbing on the floor".

Harry reportedly writes in his book Spare: "Meg asked if Kate was aware of what was going on right now. With her father.

"Kate said she was well aware, but the dresses. And the wedding is in four days," according to The Sun.

Harry also accused his brother and sister-in-law of "stereotyping" Meghan Markle, saying their "behaviour" caused a barrier in terms of them welcoming her into the family.

In his latest TV interview, this time with ITV's Tom Bradby, Harry takes aim at the Prince and Princess of Wales, saying they never expected him to end up with "someone like Meghan" - referring to her successful acting career.

He admitted Kate and William didn't get on with Meghan "from the get-go", while also making the surprising admission that the couple were huge Suits fans.

Asked why the relationship got off on a bad note, Harry said there were "lots of different reasons".

He goes on: "I don’t think they were ever expecting me to get into a relationship with someone like Meghan, who had, you know, a very successful career.

"There was a lot of stereotyping that was happening, that I was guilty of as well, at the beginning."

Pushed on what he meant by that, Harry continues: "American actress, and that was playing out in the British press in the media at the time as well.

"I had that in the back of my mind, and some of the things that my brother and sister-in-law – some of the way that they were acting or behaving definitely felt to me as though unfortunately that stereotyping was causing a bit of a barrier to them really sort of, you know, introducing or welcoming her in."

Asked specifically what he meant, Harry added: "Well, American actress, divorced, biracial - there's all different parts to that and what that can mean but if you are, like a lot of my family do, if you are reading the press, the British tabloids, [Yeah] at the same time as living the life, then there is a tendency where you could actually end up living in the tabloid bubble rather than the actual reality."

Much has been said about the previously dubbed Fab Four's relationship.

In an interview shortly after their engagement, the couple recalled their first meeting. Meghan said: "[Kate] has been wonderful", while Harry added: "...as has William as well, you know, fantastic support."
