Actor Max Beesley joined Susanna Reid and Ed Balls on Good Morning Britain to discuss his latest project but shut down when the hosts quizzed him on former co-star Meghan Markle.
Susanna said: “You’ve worked with some brilliant actors, of course, you’ve worked with Meghan Markle on Suits.”
Max branded the Duchess an "excellent actress" before addressing the pressure she is under.

Max said: “Terrific actress, wonderful to work with.”
“Did you know back then, that she would go on to be a global star? Could you see it in her back then?” Ed asked.
Diverting the conversation away from Meghan, the actor replied: "Well I did most of my work with Donna Paulsen, Sarah Rafferty who plays Donna is a terrific actress as well.
“It was quite daunting going on that show as well because I was meant to be the British version of Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht).
“I started watching the first season of Suits, watching Gabriel and I was like, ‘Oh my God, he’s both a terrific actor and also an incredibly handsome chap."
Ed quipped: “So you’re not going to tell us anything about what Meghan Markle was like?”
“Absolutely nothing, whatsoever," Max replied as he picked up his glass of water before Susanna moved the interview on.
However, Ed couldn't resist one last attempt to quiz the actor on his former Suits co-star.
Later, he asked: "One last question: Meghan Markle?" To which Max diverted: "What a lovely array of newspapers you have here."
Viewers weren't pleased with the hosts for steering the conversation to the Duchess as one tweeted: "GMB and Susanna Reid really can't keep Meghan Markle's name out of their mouths. You have to laugh even when the story doesn't relate to them they always manage to work Harry and Meghan's names into the conversation."
Another asked: "What is GMB's obsession with Meghan?" And a third wrote: "Any opportunity to have a dig at Meghan Markle. Pathetic!"
Meghan starred in hit drama Suits but confirmed she would be leaving the acting professions when she and Prince Harry got engaged in 2018.
