Meghan Markle's agent confirms next career move as Spotify deal comes to an end

Meghan Markle's management have revealed her next move as she and husband Prince Harry part ways with Spotify.

Her agent confirmed that the Duchess of Sussex will "develop content" for fans and is working with "another platform".

Back in 2020, the pair signed a deal with the audio streaming platform which was expected to see them host and produce podcasts on the platform, writes The Mirror.

This week, it was announced that the couple's audio production company Archewell Audio has now "mutually agreed" to part ways with Spotify moving forward.

A joint statement issued earlier by the two companies read: "Spotify and Archewell Audio have mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series we made together."

The talent agent who manage Meghan, 41, have confirmed that she is working on another project, saying that she is working on content for another platform.

WME - who signed the former actor around April - addressed their client's departure from Spotify in a statement to the Wall Street Journal.

The statement issued by the talent agency read: "The team behind Archetypes remain proud of the podcast they created at Spotify. Meghan is continuing to develop more content for the Archetypes audience on another platform."

Meghan's 12-episode Archetypes podcast was exclusive to Spotify. Its first episode was released on the platform in August last year.
